Statement
I am a graphic designer drawn to narratives across mediums with a particular love for expressive typography. My design work looks at how language is interacted with in its current and future form. In print, digital, 3D, I design with a keen eye on the story of the brand, theme, and form, to ensure all components of the story complement one another.

Philosophy
I believe that design gives texture, color, and voice
to the language we use every day, oftentimes highlighting how we interact with the world and communities. Visual and oral communication are both invisible but hold tremendous power over human interactions, and my design reflects a bridge between the two, where language is clear, powerful, and design is bold, memorable. Engagement and synthesis is versatile, language and design is creative, and likewise, my design work is open to experimentation within the subject.
My research and observations are just as vital as the final product. As language changes, as designs are critiqued and edited, my designs are growing and learning alongside me as conversations, rather than concrete solutions.
Focuses + Interests
I am drawn towards typography’s applications, particularly multilingual design as a way to connect with new cultures and utilizing the beauty within a world language. Language is intertwined with our identity, and I am passionate about world languages—from mainstream to underrepresented—and aim to create projects that are inclusive, representational, and connective to the world around us, no matter the miles between us.
Writing
Bio
I am a writer based in Ohio with a passion for experimental work. Currently attending BGSU for a BFA in graphic design, I am also studying creative writing and the Chinese language because I may enjoy learning too much. When I am not writing or reading, I am making art—graphic design, digital illustrations, photography, metalwork, painting, drawing—and when I am not making art, I am trying to learn a language—French, Chinese, ASL, or something new—and when I am not doing any of the other three, I am sleeping.
Writing
Philosophy
I believe writing is a way of sharing and experiencing human interaction in familiar and unfamiliar, oftentimes highlighting how our interaction with the English language nurtures conceptualizations. Many of our understandings of the world are based on interactions, whether in human or literature, and fiction opens windows for empathy, sympathy, and growth within the individual. Every sentence speaks to the human experience, whether author or character’s, with this cross between reality and fiction revealing how, at its core, we see, understand, and interact with language.
Every step of the writing process is vital, edits become areas of growth, new directions, deeper understanding of plot, theme, and craft. To push a story beyond its first draft is central to both author and piece, where both come together as one being, and this journey is continuously evolving with every new piece, every new voice, and every new “what-if.”
Focuses + Interests
I am particularly drawn towards experimentation, hybrid forms, pieces that don’t necessarily fit into one category and draw readers into its web. I aim to find new angles to see the world as, like one would in photography. Whether this takes the form of a hybrid or prose form, I am eager to see where each piece wants to go, the journey long, but continuous.
Next Steps
Experiment, learn, see where that path takes me,
and have fun along the way.
